緊急募集趣旨―マンガが平和を紡ぐPurpose of the Exhibition: Knitting manga into peace

Hello, manga lovers in the world!
During the past two years, we kept talking about the pandemic day after day. However, not only the novel coronavirus has spread out in the world. The fever of manga has also spread thanks to the artwork of manga lovers who responded to our call for submissions. Their works were full of humor, wit, laughter, playfulness, sarcasm, banter, teasing, and more. All of them are from the universal “spirit of manga/comics” that exists in all human beings’ DNA. Yes, human beings are great!
By the way, everyone-
In front of us, violent and unpeaceful human activities like wars, human-rights suppression, and discrimination are continuously happening. Out of these, war is the most terrible direct violence.
What do you think?
Why don’t we expand the field of “Manga Pandemic” and look at these wars and violence, then make good use of the “spirit of manga/comics”?
Shall we express our anger, indignation, antipathy, sadness, acceptance, empathy, solidarity, hope and more with the “spirit of manga/comics” to show others? The “Manga Pandemic” project will keep running this year with anger against wars, a spirit of solidarity, and hope for peace.
Please join us!
