共産思想の拡がりとその抑止を、感染症とその予防と比して描く。天然痘＝疱瘡の神様は古来、赤い身体で表現された。同年3月、共産主義者を一斉検挙する三・一五事件が起こっている。

The spread of communism is depicted as an epidemic of smallpox and the control of it as prevention in this work. In Japan, the god of smallpox has been expressed as having a red body from old times. In March of the same year (1928), a crackdown on communists called the “March 15 incident” happened.
